Fair play

Rules

Play fair. Help beginners. Leave the infrastructure alone. Staff decisions are final.

  1. Teams of up to 4 players. Play only with your own team.
  2. No AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Gemini, etc.) for solving challenges during the event.
  3. Do not attack the CTF infrastructure, scoring platform, venue network, or other players.
  4. Do not share flags outside your team, spoil challenges publicly, or sabotage others.
  5. Do not brute-force login, registration, or flag-submission endpoints.
  6. Flag format: SCARY{…} — submit exactly as found.
  7. Hints cost points when unlocked. Use them wisely.
  8. Ask ScaryCon staff if something looks broken or you need help on the floor.
